Loft Dinner 12.14.08
It was our last dinner of 2008. We served lovely lamb chops with a celery root puree and dinosaur kale. Yes, the kale looks like dinosaur skin. How do we know what dinosaur skin looks like you ask? We just do.
In light of the holiday season, we also served some our favorite hors d’oeuvres: the ever popular deviled egg and the lovable pork belly wrapped date.
Our eggs were from Janey’s farm in Indiana. Our lamb from Mint Creek farm in Illinois. We were also quite pleased with our pork belly and squash ravioli’s, each filling served in its own pasta robe. The finale was a spiced honeycrisp apple bread pudding accompanied with dollup of pear cream and smear of apple caramel.
Special thanks to Nave for a wonderful performance. Look for them at upcoming Clandestino events.
